The new Hiro range of in-ground spotlights is specially designed for permanent operation in the toughest of environments such as salty air, flooding rough coasts, high-temperature differentials and heavy traffic areas. They set the new standard in luminaire design in form and materials – without any frills – to ensure elegant and discreet integration into any project.
With IP68 and IP69 protection, Hiro’s clever design comprising three parts provides a strong but lightweight solution capable of withstanding loads of up to two tonnes. It also features the newly developed CapStop™, which prevents water ingress caused by the capillary effect via the cable and the cable inner by 100%. The spotlight is completely sealed making the risk of moisture or water drops on the inner glass a thing of the past.
The black matt interior significantly reduces glare without the need for additional accessories while glare is further reduced by mounting the LED unit low down in the housing.
Three sizes are available with variants ranging from 2700K to 6500K and include monochrome and RGB-W. The monochrome versions can be dimmed and controlled via Dali 2 as standard. All RGB-W spotlights are prepared for Casambi control – the module is available as an option and, depending on the version, integrated into the housing.
Each fitting features the same lighting technology, light colour and design facilitating coherent lighting planning and accessories include frosted lens, slip-resistant glass and anti-glare louvres.
