The Parish Church of St John the Baptist appointed Sutton Vane Associates as the lighting designers for their Heritage Lottery Funded Project to develop a new, flexible and energy efficient lighting scheme including Evica Gobo projectors to overlay the faded murals.
These amazing murals have been conserved but, due to their age, have some components missing. Sutton Vane Associates designed a projection system that could gently fade up and overlay colourful images of the original masterpieces over the existing paintings in a sequence that helps tell their story. So, at the touch of a button, a visitor can experience the wonderful artwork and can see how it appeared in the past.
