The Great Tapestry of Scotland is one of the world’s largest community arts projects hand-stitched by over 1,000 people across Scotland. Measuring 143 metres long, it comprises 160 linen panels and 300 miles of wool.
The Tapestry, which tells the story of Scotland’s history, heritage and culture, is now housed in a dedicated Gallery and visitor centre designed by Page/Park Architects in Galashiels in the heart of the Scottish Borders. As part of the project, Atelier Ten were commissioned for the lighting design and specified hundreds of metres of Trueflex LEDBar to provide adaptable display case lighting.
